Whatever happened with that children's book?

I made a dummy of the book for a children's book illustration class. We only had a few months to write the story, design the characters, illustrate, and print the books but we did not have to totally finish every illustration; leaving half of it as tight sketches was ok. It was just meant to be enough to get the gist of it since we didn't have a ton of time. I really liked my book so it was a bummer that I had to rush on some of it. Even though I spent a while designing all the characters I didn't really get the hang of drawing them 'on model' until later. They have really weird proportions that seemed to change throughout the book as I got the hang of drawing them. I guess they weren't totally designed when I had to get on with it for time's sake. So basically I want to totally redo it sometime and finish all the pages. It's a project that will take me a while and I want to make sure I get it right, so now I am making all of these paintings as sort of 'ractice illustrations' to make sure I've got it down. I really do want to get that thing published!

PS: I also have a whole back story on Pinky Dandy and none of it is in the children's book. His childhood was a bit too dark and pathetic for children. Luckily he remembers none of it.
